About the INDONESIAN DAY
August 17th is observed as a sacred day of the year by the Indonesian. This year, in conjunction of Indonesia’s 62nd Independence Anniversary, the Indonesian community in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area is holding its 13th annual Indonesia Day Celebration on August 11th, 2007 in Union Square, the busiest, most popular, and most visited place by tourists and the local people, in San Francisco from 11AM to 04:00PM.
Our goal in conducting this event is to promote Indonesia as a whole to the American people by sharing our culture, history, food, traditional dances, contemporary music, languages, diversity, heritage and tourism. We, the Indonesian people in Northern California, cherish and are proud to undertake year after year with great honor, pleasure and compassion.
In collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco, we have been successfully conducting this event every year for the past 12 years. This event has generated a positive perception of the American public about Indonesia. To continue this effort, we have developed and will continue to build a mutual corporation with the local businesses, business counterparts in Indonesia, and the local government, such as with the Mayor Office of San Francisco.
For the Indonesian entrepreneurs and businesses, we provide a great opportunity to utilize this event as a valuable sales and marketing outlet to capture and broaden your market segments in the United States and around the world.
For the local American people and the local business entrepreneurs, Indonesian Day celebration event is a melting pot to enjoy a unique entertainment, to talk about business opportunity and building a business relationship and cooperation that will benefit to both countries economically, and diplomatically. It is also another venue to increase sales revenue, to broaden their business network, and capturing the Indonesian markets.
For the city of San Francisco, this annual event reflects the great diversity of San Francisco and helps the local people and tourists learn more about the rich history of Indonesia and the unique entertainment that the City of San Francisco has to offer. This event has been and will continue to contribute to the economical growth of San Francisco, and we are proud to be a part of it.
However, this event is impossible without your continual support and cordial cooperation. With a great honor, we, the Indonesian Day 2007 committee members, would like to invite you and YOUR COMPANY to be one of the main sponsors for this upcoming event in 2007.
